About Us
Ekaya Banaras is one of India’s first handloom luxury brands that’s seriously changing the way we look at traditional wear — especially Banarasi sarees. It was started by Mr. Bharat Shah, a textile veteran, and is now led by his daughter, Palak Shah. Basically, it’s a beautiful blend of legacy + new-gen thinking.

They work directly with over 10,000 weavers (yup, that many!) across Banaras, giving life to stunning handwoven sarees, dupattas, lehengas, and even ready-to-wear pieces. All of this is pure silk, fine zari, and all the dreamy craftsmanship Banaras is known for.

But here's the twist — they’re not stuck in the past. Ekaya mixes tradition with fresh, modern designs. So while their roots are super deep in culture, the looks feel updated and wearable, even if you're not attending a wedding every weekend.

What makes them stand out?

-
Luxury Handloom: Not machine-made. Everything is artisan-crafted.
-
Modern Collabs: They’ve teamed up with designers like Abraham & Thakore, Masaba Gupta, Archana Rao etc., to bring Banarasi weave into cool, experimental styles.
-
Heirloom Quality: Their pieces aren’t just outfits — they’re keep-forever kinds of pieces you’d want to pass down.
-
Palak Shah's Vision: She’s been vocal about giving weavers visibility and empowering them economically, not just creatively.
